Simple Removals Terms & Conditions Summary

  • Insurance cover up to £30,000 per vehicle in use (with declared value of goods)
  • General cover of up to £40 per item (without declared value of goods)
  • We are not liable for breakages within containers packed by You unless obvious signs of negligence from Us proves the likely cause of such damages
  • 100% refund if booking cancelled at least 7 working days prior to move date
  • 50% refund if cancelled less than 48 hours prior to move date
  • 25% refund if cancelled on the day of move
  • We do not move any items listed in our prohibited items list, if you pack these items without our knowledge or written consent, you could face extra charges, cancellation, destruction of items and possible legal action against you. Click here for prohibited items
  • We are not liable to repair, replace or compensate in any way for damages sustained during the dismantling or reassembly of any items
  • If any employee deems a high-risk of property damage during a move, we may ask you to sign a liability waiver form should you go against any advice given, in which we will not be liable to repair, replace or compensate for any damages incurred
  • Up to 2 hours waiting time included, an additional hourly rate is charged thereafter
  • Dismantling and/or Reassembly of furniture is charged in addition, per item

Prohibited Items

  • Potentially dangerous, flammable, corrosive or explosive items, including but not limited to gas bottles, aerosols, paints, chemicals, fireworks, lighter fluid, nail varnish remover, batteries, alcohol, tobacco, fire extinguishers, firearms, fuels, oils and ammunition.
  • Irreplaceable/Priceless items, including but not limited to jewellery, watches, keys, passports, birth certificates, stocks and bonds, trinkets, heirlooms, precious stones or metals, urns, money, deeds, securities, mobile telephones, portable media and computing devices, stamps, coins, or goods or collections of any similar kind.
  • Goods likely to encourage vermin or other pests or goods likely to cause infestation or contamination.
  • Goods, which We deem hazardous to health, dirty, unhygienic, or likely to attract vermin or pests. We may refuse such goods without liability to You.
  • Perishable items and/or those requiring a controlled environment including medication.
  • Any animals, birds, fish reptiles or plants.
  • Goods which require special licence or government permission.
  • Under no circumstances will illegal or stolen goods, drugs or material be moved or stored by Us.

We advise you to ask us if you are unsure, our liability is limited, and insurance is restricted to items such as those listed above. Sometimes, through no fault of our own, accidents happen, so it’s better to be safe and check, than take a risk and not be covered!
